Q. I know the website is legit and all, I'm just concerned about the security. Since a lot of scammers use the national lottery for sending scams and the link. I'm just scared that they might be able to access my details if I register on the website and buy the tickets there rather than going to my local newsagent to buy tickets every week. It's true that there are many scams doing the rounds, some of which use the name of the National Lottery UK. The simplest way to avoid getting caught up in any of those scams is to always type "National Lottery" into a search engine to get a link to the official site...NEVER click on any links contained in any email which claims to have come from the Lottery itself. I do this even if I get an email which contains news about my ticket...which sadly, isn't often enough!
